Fill #10 and a bad port

We had a bit of a surprise at our fill today. Our plastic surgeon puts blue dye into the tissue expanders when he inserts them at the first surgery so that during a fill when he sticks the needle into the port, the blue flows back into the syringe and he knows he's in the right place. One of our ports started leaking a little after the last few fills. This last week it has been consistently leaking little drops here and there. Upon closer inspection at our fill today it appears the skin over this port is "disintegrating". It's nevus skin which is different then normal skin anyway so it appears it is not reacting well to the saline and dye being on it. The doc said to keep Vaseline or triple antibiotic ointment on it and see what happens. He didn't fill that one today. I'm getting a little nervous because I'm worried this could open the area up to infection. I have three huge weddings coming up the next few weekends that I cannot get out of so I really need him to make it until our scheduled May 16 surgery.  An infection would result in either a hospital stay and IV antibiotics or immediate surgery. Everyone send those positive vibes that we will be infection free and make it until May 16!!

The doctor did fill the other two expanders today. So we are at 400 cc's in the front, 175 cc's in the middle one and 160 cc's in the back one.  Now we only have 2 more fills left!!!!
